About the Author

Heather Hayes is from the beautiful countryside of Idaho. She is happily married with five amazing daughters. They are her inspiration to write. Heather earned her associates degree in social work from Rick's College. She transferred to the College of Motherhood and has been enjoying the homework ever since. Heather loves to read, write, plan parties and trips, and cook delicious food.

  • Favorite outside hobbies: Camping, gardening, walking, bike rides, skiing, sledding, and occasionally ice skating

    • Breakfast: Biscuits and gravy with fresh fruit
    • Lunch: Bacon cheeseburger with a salad
    • Dinner: Homemade soup like Zuppa Toscana (potato sausage soup) and breadsticks
    • Dessert: Anything Lemon! Like Lemon Cream Cake or Lemon Mousse
  • Least favorite things to do: Sweeping and mopping, doing hair
  • Pets: several cats, chickens, ducks, and a rabbit
  • Community life: I coach T-Ball, volunteer in my church, and have hand-delivered food (usually cookies) to almost every home in my community, I love to feed people.
  • Family Life: My husband and I both come from big families. We love parties and reunions. We also love to watch our own five kids perform in academics, sports, music, and art.

I really enjoyed having Heather visit my classroom. She interacted with the kids wonderfully and had them begging her to 'read one more chapter please.' I would highly recommend having Heather come to your classroom.
